What can I expect from a first session? Often, people can feel nervous about meeting and speaking about their problems for the first time. I will do my very best to ensure you feel comfortable and safe. The first session is a time for me to hear a bit more about what has been going on for you. I will invite you to share with me what it is that has brought you to therapy at this time. It is a time for you to see how you feel speaking with me, to make sure you feel comfortable, and that this is the right fit for you. In addition, I will be making sure that I feel I am the right therapist to be working with your specific problems, and if not I will make recommendations of others who may be better suited.
How often are sessions? Sessions take place on a weekly basis at the same time, and are 50 minutes long.
How long does therapy typically take? The length of therapy for each person can vary. In the first session we can discuss how many sessions you feel you need. We can decide upon a number, or leave it open ended and review this at a later date.
Do you accept insurance? I do accept insurance at the Sevenoaks practice, please email me to discuss things further. I currently do not accept insurance at Hove.
